Road Accident Fund: Medical Management Internship Programme 2024 / 2025
Applications are invited for an internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 23. The internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. The interns will be located at the Medical Management Department in Johannesburg.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical assessment and compile injury assessment reports
- Escalation of complex cases for multi-disciplinary review and adjudication
- Maintain the documentation and regular updating of the exception handling process
- Conduct assessments and bill reviews on submitted claims, focusing on the appropriate level of care, the length of stay, and quality of care
- Deal with/and respond to correspondence
- Report on emerging risks
- Provide ad hoc reports on process improvement initiatives
- Receiving complaints and liaise with relevant stakeholders
- Follow up and feedback to all stakeholders to keep them updated on status of a query
- Respond to queries within the predefined turnaround times
Requirements:
- Grade 12/ NQF 4 level certificate
- National Diploma/ B Degree/ Advanced Diploma in: Health Science or Medical related qualification
