Minimum Requirements - Pre 2008
(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)
- Grade 12 (Std 10) - Minimum 25 points
- English: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade
- Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Physiology: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade
- Mathematics: "E" Higher Grade or "D" Standard Grade
Minimum Requirements - From 2008
(score a maximum of 6 relevant highest score subjects on Matric / Grade 12 Certificate)
- National Senior Certificate: Diploma Pass and above
- Home Language / First Additional Language: L3
- Minimum: 25 points
- English: L4
- Maths L3 / Maths Literacy: L5
- Life Science / Physical Science: L4
- Life Orientation: L4
- Any other 2 subjects.
NB. Life Orientation (LO) is mandatory at L4 and above but will not be scored
Take note of the following:
- Applicants must come from the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
- Applicants currently registered for studies elsewhere will not be considered for admission.
- Applicants who are currently receiving any other source of funding for study purposes will not be considered.
