Position Title / Name: Administrative Assistant - Travel

Stipend: R 222,957 per annum
Job level: Grade 12 / Junior / Entry level Jobs
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the employees requiring travel arrangements.
- Prepare monthly creditors reconciliations.
- Filing of source documents onto the creditor’s files.
- Receive and process claims.
- Prepare request for payments
- Assist with travel arrangements.
- Booking of airfares and car rentals.
- Ensure that the bookings are in line with the cost containment Treasury regulations instructions.
- Assist with solving Audit queries.
- Any other functions delegated by the Finance Manager.
Requirements:
- Must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate with Accounting as a subject or an equivalent qualification.
- Computer literacy (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word) and basic bookkeeping skills are also required.
Advantageous
- A Post-matric certificate in Financial Management or an equivalent qualification in a Finance-related course will be an added advantage.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of public administration, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, budgeting and expenditure control and other legislation pertaining to Public Finance.
- Knowledge of procurement prescripts, administrative procedures, and ability to interpret policies.
Skills and Competencies:
- Paying attention to detail.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
