Unitrans, a leader in transportation, warehousing, and supply chain services, is excited to offer a 12-month Internship Opportunity in Procurement. The Procurement Division is essential to driving operational excellence, achieving cost savings, and managing supplier relationship.

As part of our team, you'll play a key role in advancing procurement practices that drive our business success, while building foundational skills for a rewarding career in Procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on suppliers, prepare RFQs, and analyse pricing and contract terms to support sourcing initiatives.
• Assist in spend analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supplier value.
• Participate in supplier management and relationship-building efforts, gaining insights into sustainable procurement practices.
• Provide data analysis, reporting, and documentation support for procurement activities.
• Engage in project-based learning with guidance from mentors and coaches to deepen your understanding of procurement’s strategic role within Unitrans.

Requirements:

• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Relevant Tertiary qualification(s) at NQF Level 6 or Higher in:

1. Procurement,
2. Project Management,
3. Supply Chain Management,
4. Transport and Logistics,
5. Operations Management,
6. Accounting
7. Finance,
8. or other related fields.

• Willing to relocate and/or travel within South Africa.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Computer literacy and general administrative skills.
• Driver’s license and own transport will be advantageous.
