Joburg Market: EPWP Employment Opportunities 2025

Joburg Market is inviting South African Citizens who are unemployed and residing within the City of Joburg to participate in the 2025 EPWP programme for a period of 12 (Twelve) months.

Stipend: R5000.00 per month.

The following Positions are open for Applications:

Marketing Assistant

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Assisting in performing various Marketing Administrative functions, marketing platforms and displaying and storing marketing branding equipment.

HR / Human Resources

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Assisting in performing HR administrative functions and filing of documents

Property

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Assist in performing various Property related functions

Maintenance Assistants

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Stopping and searching delivery trucks to verify delivery notes against consignment, direct trucks when required

Food Bank Assistants

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties: Assist in packaging of fresh produce and general cleaning

General Worker

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties: Cleaning platforms, compactor, rocker bins, floors and JM surface area, Manning and em tin waste bins in accordance with Health and Safe Standards

General Office Cleaners

• Requirements: Grade 10
• Duties: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and cleaning offices, kitchen, floors, stairs and bathrooms. Re lenishin bathroom utensils and kitchen refreshment

Platform Wardens (Security)

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Performing routine security and public safety patrols in and around the precinct. Controlling access and exit of edestrians and vehicles to the JM premises and enforcin JM B -Laws.

Consignment Gate Controllers

• Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate
• Duties: Unblocking toilets, sewer lines, taps, pipes, cleaning rains. Install lights, fixing plugs, relocating the plugs, painting , changing locks, general repairs

NB. Preference will be given to those who have never participated in an EPWP programme.
