Red Lantern: Social Media Content Producer (Part-Time)

Red Lantern is a forward-thinking sports marketing and digital media company. We partner with leading sports clubs and rights-holders worldwide, helping them grow audiences and revenue in priority international markets. We work with a number of globally-renowned cricket and football teams, creating localised content for South Africa audiences. We are looking for a social media manager to join the Red Lantern team in South Africa. This is a part-time, fully remote role that’s perfect for anyone looking for flexibility - students, freelancers, or professionals are welcome to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Produce engaging social media content for major football and/or cricket clients
• Focus on short-form video content for platforms like TikTok
• Occasional ad-hoc tasks like market research or trend research
• Estimated 6-18 hours of work per week (required output varies seasonally) 

Who We're Looking For

• In-depth knowledge of and passion for football and/or cricket
• Experience producing social media content, especially for TikTok, IG Reels, or YT Shorts
• Ability to spot and adapt to globally and locally trending sounds, challenges, and formats
• Proficiency with video editing tools like CapCut or Premiere Pro
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Reliable and able to respond to requests promptly
• Someone with a flexible schedule that has capacity to work a few hours a day during seasonal peaks
