This foundational qualification is designed for individuals entering the workforce or school leavers aspiring to build a career in Information Technology. It focuses on developing essential End User Computing skills required in today’s digital workplace.
Learners will gain practical competencies, a solid understanding of key IT concepts and the attitudes and values necessary to effectively operate within the technology sector.
Requirements:
- Age: You must typically be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Citizenship: You need to be a South African citizen.
- Identity: A certified copy of your South African identity document.
- CV: An updated Curriculum Vitae.
- City: Must be from Durban and live or be able to travel to the Durban Westville Area
- Disability: A medical memorandum and/or disability certificate if you are applying under the disability category.
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is often the minimum.
- Employment status: You cannot be permanently employed or registered for another learnership.
- Skills: You must be able to speak, read, and write English. Computer literacy is also frequently required.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, adaptability, and a strong eagerness to learn are beneficial for both academic and work-related challenges.
