About the Bursary
FASSET is inviting 2025 matriculants to apply for its 2026 Bursary Programme. The bursary is aimed at high-performing learners who obtained 75% or above in their 2025 matric results and who are enrolled, or have been accepted, to study in the specified fields at a public university or university of technology in South Africa.
What the Bursary Covers
- Funding is capped at R100,000 per annum for university learners
- The bursary covers:
- Tuition fees
- Prescribed textbooks
- Accommodation
- Meal allowances
Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 75% in the 2025 matric results
- Must have passed Mathematics and Accounting with strong results
- Must come from a household with a combined annual income not exceeding R1,000,000
- Must be registered or provisionally accepted at a public university or university of technology
- Be studying towards a qualification within the following faculties or fields:
- Auditing & Taxation
- Accounting Sciences
- Economics & Management Sciences
- IT-related qualifications
- Actuarial Sciences
