Woolpert: Geospatial Internship Programme 2022

The intern will gain GIS experience by investigating the most recent ESRI GIS products and capabilities; using GIS products to assist and learn directly from GIS professionals in their daily processes, analysis, and presentation.

The main roles and responsibilities:

• Processing existing aerial imagery datasets and extracting data for statistical analyses in photogrammetry packages (e.g. ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Micro Station).
• Spatial data collection, cleansing, manipulation and capturing including digitizing.
• Provide mapping and conservation planning in support of various projects.
• Perform Spatial Analysis.
• Provide monthly training progress report.
• Perform various technical activities in line with training plans. 

Requirements:

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited College or University.

Must be pursuing a degree in:

• Geomatics,
• Geography,
• Geology,
• Environmental Studies,
• or any related field.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.
• Undeveloped Understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Willing to learn, energetic and proactive
• Must be willing to sign an internship agreement.
