iStore: Learnership Opportunities 2024

iStore invites unemployed South African youth in possession of a Grade 12 / Matric certificate to apply for the Support Technician Learnership Programme.

As a Technical Intern / Learner, you'll be an integral part of our store's technical team, working alongside experienced technicians to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, install and troubleshoot software, and provide support to our customers. You'll get hands-on experience with the latest Apple products and technologies, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and more.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You should have a strong passion for technology and a desire to help customers get the most out of their Apple products. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers in-store and over the phone
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software
• Install and configure new hardware and software for customers
• Provide support to customers on how to use their Apple products
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and repairs
• Work closely with other members of the technical team to ensure the smooth operation of the store

Minimum Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 / Matric
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong customer service orientation
• Familiarity with support ticketing systems
