Aspen: Bursaries 2025

Aspen is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025 academic year.

Fields of study:

Bursaries will be awarded for studies towards the following degree qualifications:

• Accounting (BCom)
• Chemistry (BSc)
• Computer Science & Information Technology (BSc)
• Data Science (Bachelor of)
• Engineering (Bachelor of)
• Medicine and Surgery (Bachelor of)
• Microbiology (BSc)
• Pharmacology Specialising in Regulatory Affairs (BSc)
• Pharmacy (Bachelor of)
• Supply Chain Management (BCom)
• Taxation (BCom)

The bursary is mainly aimed at undergraduate studies, however Master’s or PhD Degrees may be considered for funding. The bursary does NOT cover MBA Degrees.

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses:

• Registration fees (up to 100%),
• Tuition fees (up to 100%)
• Prescribed books (up to 50%).

Bursaries will be awarded for 1 academic year, with further funding will be dependent on Aspen budget.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above
• You must be studying or have been accepted to study at one of the following institutions:

1. Traditional Universities: University of Cape Town (UCT),
2. University of the Western Cape (UWC),
3. University of Stellenbosch (SU),
4. University of the Free State (UFS),
5. University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN),
6. University of Pretoria (UP),
7. University of Johannesburg (UJ),
8. University of the Witwatersrand (Wits),
9. Rhodes University (RU),
10. North-West University (NWU),
11. University of Limpopo (UL)
12. Comprehensive Universities: University of South Africa (UNISA),
13. Nelson Mandela University (NMU),
14. University of Zululand (UniZulu),
15. University of Mpumalanga (UMP),
16. Sol Plaatje University (SPU)
17. Universities of Technology: Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT),
18. Durban University of Technology (DUT),
