Rand Refinery: Internships (Logistics or Supply Chain Graduates)

 

Position Title: Graduate - Final Storage and Dispatch

Duration: 18 months contract

You will be guided by a structured development plan designed to provide practical experience while working alongside a dedicated, customer-focused team.

 

 

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Manual packaging of finished products after the completion of the quality process. This includes the fowling types of products; minted coins, blank coins, cast bars, wires, discs
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking stock movements, performing regular stock counts, and updating storage systems to reflect real-time data.
  • Assist in performing quality checks on outgoing products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards, and handle discrepancies in stock or packaging.
  • Support the customer service team by providing accurate and timely information regarding order status, delivery times, and any potential delays.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the final storage and dispatch process and collaborate with the team to implement more efficient workflows and cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the final storage and dispatch, including the safe handling of materials
  • Ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and labelled according to customer specifications and timelines.

     

Requirements

  • A completed Matric qualification.
  • Degree / BTech / Advanced Diploma in: Logistics or Supply Chain Management. 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Computer proficiency — MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint), SAP, SharePoint, Educos and IsoMetrix.
  • Focus on results through quality and safety awareness, managing work, planning and organising, decision making and customer focus.
  • Express potential through adaptability, applied learning, initiating action, innovation, impact and work standards.
  • Interact effectively through communication at all levels, building relationships, negotiation and gaining commitment.
