Transnet: Young Professional In Training Internships 2025 / 2026

Transnet Corporate Centre and Academy is looking for dynamic and recently qualified graduates for a two-year Internship Programme (24 months programme).  This programme will provide the incumbents with relevant workplace experience through a structured learning programme and organizational support.

As a Young-Professional-In-Training, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, with exposure to other working functions to gain practical experience in the following deliverables:

• Communicate with customers to ensure a clear understanding of their needs, including the level of urgency as well as keep them updated regularly on the progress of their requirements.
• Ensure that queries are addressed in a satisfactory and timeous manner.
• Provide general administrative, research and assistance.
• Take work briefs/instructions from Mentor and/or Specialist to structure the work required to produce specific deliverables.
• Execute project work task effectively and efficiently as an individual and collaboratively.
• Produce quality work that can be used as input to develop the most appropriate project solutions for the client.

• National Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management.

• Bachelor Degree in Data Science/Statistics

Young Professional-in-Training (Digital Marketing/Communications)

• National Diploma or Degree in Digital Marketing/Communications

Young Professional-in-Training (Health & Safety)

Work Integrated Learner (Technical / Engineering)

B Eng Tech/S4-S5 Completed all theoretical coursework in the following disciplines:

• Electronics/Electrical (Heavy Current) Engineering.
• Mechanical Engineering.
• Civil Engineering.
• Industrial Engineering.
• Physical Metallurgy Engineering.
• Chemical Engineering.

Work Integrated Learner (Non - Technical TVET)

Completed all theoretical subjects: N6 in:

• Office Management:
• Human Resources,
• Marketing Management,
• Logistics
• Communication.

Work Integrated Learner (Non - Technical University of Technology)

Completed all theoretical subjects:  Diploma (University of Technology) in:

• Information Technology,
• Business Administration,
• Supply Chain Management.
