Dimension Data: Finance Internship Programme 2023

As a Finance Intern, you'll gain valuable experience working in a finance department on real-world projects. You will work closely with the business development team to help support their growth and expansion plans. As part of your internship, you'll be involved in everything from financial analysis and reporting to budgeting and procurement activities. Experience of working within a large organisation is also desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Helps to create and update project budget and financial forecasts
• Provides information regarding financial estimates, assumptions, and analysis.
• Learns how to maintain detailed records and accounting procedures throughout the entire process from initial planning to final approval.
• Conducts an in-depth analysis of current business plans, profit statements, or financial statements as well as trend analysis with respect to these data.
• Prepares monthly payroll, including all federal and state tax calculations.
• Performs accounting reconciliation and general ledger accounts payable, receivable, and petty cash.
• Participates in project planning and decision making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in: Finance or a related field required
• Demonstrated financial ability to complete projects, on time and within budget.
• Previous experience in finance or banking preferred (Not required).
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reports, including line-item analysis.
• Must have demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
